How to Get to Roosevelt Station from Coeval Chicago by Foot and Bike


The Roosevelt station provides transit services on the Red, Green, and Orange Line and offers bus connections on 12 Roosevelt, 18 16th/18th, 29 State, 146 Inner Drive, Michigan Express, and other CTA connections. The Roosevelt Station is less than 5 minutes away by foot and about a 3-minute bike ride from Coeval Chicago apartments. Simply head west on East 14th South towards South Wabash Avenue. At South Wabash Avenue, make a right towards East Roosevelt Road. Make a left on Roosevelt Road and the Roosevelt Station will be on your right-hand side.

Commuter Rails Near Coeval Chicago

The next best mode of transportation is commuter rails. There are two stations that service public commuter rail terminals, the Chicago LaSalle Station and the Halsted Station. Both stations operate two different lines. The LaSalle is an 'L' station on the Chicago Transit Authority's Blue Line and the Halsted Street Station is a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's 'L' system, serving the Orange Line.

The LaSalle station is approximately a 7-8 minute drive — from Coeval Chicago. While Halsted Station is an approximate 9-12 minute drive from Coeval Chicago. To get to Whole Foods from Coeval Chicago, walk to Roosevelt Station and take the Red Line on Howard towards the Chicago exit, walk about 4 minutes east on West Chicago Ave towards North State Street and make a right onto North State Street and make a second right onto West Huron Street. To get to Trader Joe’s from Coeval, head west on East 14th Street towards South Wabash Avenue, turn right onto South Wabash Avenue and Trader Joe’s will be on your right-hand side, conveniently just a 5-minute walk from Coeval.

Visit the conservatory for free to explore exotic plants in several climate-focused rooms such as the Palm House, Fern Room, Desert House, and Aroid House. To get to the Garfield Park Conservatory from Coeval Chicago, walk an approximate 6-minute towards Roosevelt station. Head west on East 14th Street towards South Wabash Avenue. Turn right onto South Wabash Avenue and make a left onto East Roosevelt Road, and make your way towards Roosevelt Station. Take the Green Line on Harlem/Lake and exit on the Conservatory-Central Park Drive.

Orange Line

If you are needing to get to the airport, the Orange Line provides rapid transit train service between Midway Airport and downtown (Loop) and provides service to Chicago's Southwest Side. Chicago Midway International Airport is the closest airport to Coeval Chicago and located eight miles from the Loop, just several miles closer to downtown Chicago and about 18 minutes away via the Orange Line rapid transit line.

To get to Midway Airport from Coeval Chicago, head west on East 14th street towards South Wabash Avenue. Make a right onto South Wabash Avenue and make a left turn onto Roosevelt Road from South Wabash Avenue. Walk towards Roosevelt Station and take the Orange Line towards the Midway exit. Exit on Midway and arrive at the Chicago Midway International Airport.

To get from Coeval to Columbia College Chicago, head east on East 14th street towards South Michigan Avenue. Once arriving at South Michigan Avenue, make a left on South Michigan Avenue. Past the Burger Bar Chicago and you'll run into the college on your left-hand side. This is an approximately 16-minute walk.

To get from Coeval to Robert Morris University, head west on East 14th Street towards South Wabash Avenue. Once you arrive at South Wabash Avenue, make a right and head towards East Congress Parkway/East Ida B. Wells Drive and make a left. You will find the college to your right-hand side. This is an approximately 18-minute walk.

To get from Coeval to Roosevelt University, head west on East 14th Street towards South Wabash Avenue, make a left onto South Wabash Avenue. The university will be on your right. This is an approximately 20-minute walk from Coeval.
